Born in Kansas, I currently live in Topeka Kansas with my husband and our labradoodle Chase. In Kansas the traditional realistic landscape painting is the norm. Studying at the University of Kansas where I received my Bachelor in Fine Art and Masters in Fine Art, I discovered my fascination with aerial imagery. My large scale oil paintings are influenced by the organization of land forms, textures and color. My work also incorporates fabric and hand stitching. the labor of stitching on my canvas is a memory of my mom, this is my way of remember her within my painting and incorporating her love for textile work.
